Currently, 20 per cent of containers transported by sea and 40 per cent of those transported by road are empty. The collapsible 4FOLD container allows four containers to be transported in the space occupied by one container, greatly reducing the costs associated with empty containers. 4FOLD results in lower transport costs and less time required for relocation, storage and transport by sea. These benefits more than compensate for the high purchase price, maintenance costs and folding and unfolding costs. It provides three times the profit margin of a standard container. Calculations show that 4FOLD can save 25 per cent of operating costs. 4FOLD is the first 40ft HC collapsible container in the world to pass all ISO certification process tests under the supervision of Korean Register (KR), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and DEKRA classification societies.

ISO, CSC and UIC certified

This ISO certification guarantees that the collapsible 4FOLD container fulfils all industrial requirements and can be used in existing logistics systems. All parts are fastened in place and therefore no part of the container is lost. The container can be repaired using standard parts, which are available worldwide at low prices.

The average annual emission reduction with 4FOLD is an estimated 28 tonnes of CO2, representing a saving of 5%.
